 Application Process

General Requirements (All Individual Members)
• Commitment to the IIIPS Code of Ethics.
• Demonstrated interest or experience in related fields.
• Agreement to comply with IIIPS’s rules, policies, and continuing professional development (CPD) requirements.

Step 1: Registration
Download the Membership Application form. Downloaded Forms should be printed, filled, scanned and attached with credentials and CV including scanned evidence of payment of application fee of $20 forwarded to institute’s official email: membership@iiips.org

Step 2: Submission of Application
• Completed application forms should be sent to membership@iiips.org along with supporting documents.
• Supporting documents to be uploaded and sent include:
o Updated CV/resume
o Academic transcripts and admission letter (if applying as a student)
o First Degree certificate
o Certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) (If any)
o Organizational profile (for Corporate Members)
o Receipt of Payment of Application fee.

Step 3: Payment of Application Fee
• Pay the non-refundable application fee of $20
• Fee structure is provided on the IIIPS website or membership portal.

Step 4: Review and Verification
• The IIIPS Membership Committee reviews all submitted materials.
• Additional interviews or verifications may be conducted for Full Members, Senior Members and Fellow applicants.

Step 5: Decision Notification
• Applicants will receive an email notification within 1-2 weeks.
• If approved, applicants would be required to make payment of the Membership Admission fee. Proof of Payment should be emailed to membership@iiips.org. After confirmation, you will then receive an email with information concerning date for commencement of compulsory training including end-of-training assessment before being invited for membership induction.

• Upon completion, applicants would receive:
o Membership certificate
o IIIPS ID number
o Welcome package and access to member resources

Step 6: Annual Renewal
• Membership is renewed annually.
• Members must:
o Pay the renewal fee January of every Year
o Submit CPD log (if required by membership level)

A CPD log refers to a Continuing Professional Development log. It is a structured record where professionals document activities and learning they’ve undertaken to maintain, improve, and broaden their knowledge and skills throughout their career.

For IIIPS members, the CPD log typically includes:
• Courses or certifications completed
• Workshops, seminars, or webinars attended.
• Professional reading or research done.
• Contributions to the field, like articles written, talks given, or tools developed.
• Mentoring or being mentored.
• Volunteering in relevant initiatives.
The CPD log helps ensure that members remain competent and up to date in a fast-evolving field.

Appeals and Reapplication
• Applicants who are not approved may request feedback.
• They may re-apply after addressing deficiencies or within 6 months.
• Appeals must be submitted in writing to the Membership Committee within 30 days of the decision.
